Tras vivir más de diez años en una gran ciudad como es Barcelona nos empezamos a cuestionar el estilo de vida que hemos tenido hasta ahora. Nos preguntamos si tiene sentido seguir con el ritmo tan trepidante que impone la ciudad. Nos preguntamos si no tiene más sentido recuperar el contacto con la Naturaleza al estilo de Henry D. Thoreau cuando escribió “Walden”.

Para responder todas estas cuestiones queremos salir de la ciudad y acercarnos a las personas que tienen una relación especial con la Naturaleza. Personas que de una manera u otra viven dentro de la naturaleza, trabajan con ella o viven de ella.

Para eso hemos dejado todo lo que teníamos en la ciudad, nos hemos comprado y restaurado una vieja autocaravana que hemos transformado en casa y en plató fotográfico móvil.

Irving Penn en Nepal.

Inspirados por grandes maestros de la fotografía que utilizaron estudios portátiles para sus trabajos más antropológicos, como el pionero Edward S. Curtis, con su trabajo sobre los indios americanos, o Irving Penn con su serie de retratos en Marruecos, Perú y México o Richard Avedon con su serie “In American West” utilizamos el exterior de la autocaravana como estructura base del plató. Esto nos permite acercarnos al encuentro de esas personas. Queremos conocer de primera mano el cómo viven, cómo se adaptan a su entorno y cómo este los moldea.
